Designing a Fintech Revolution
As the design lead at Habito, I focused on one clear mission: to simplify the home-buying journey. By embedding design thinking into every stage of the process, we set a new standard for how fintech can turn complex financial processes into seamless, user-centered solutions.

Crafting user-centric solutions
Understanding our users was key to designing a mortgage experience that truly met their needs. Through in-depth conversations with both customers and stakeholders, I uncovered the emotions, challenges, and aspirations people have when navigating the mortgage process. These insights shaped our brand’s voice and informed a customer journey that felt intuitive and supportive.

I really wanted to get what our users were going through. By chatting with both customers and stakeholders, I looked to dig into the real emotions, challenges, and wishes people had when dealing with mortgages. Getting these insights was key to developing a voice for our brand and a journey for our customers that felt right.






The impact
The results of our user-first approach were substantial:
• £1 billion in mortgages secured: Under my leadership, we reached this milestone, underscoring the power of a user-centric approach in the fintech sector.
• Team growth: Our design team expanded to over 50 members, maintaining a sharp focus on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency as we scaled.
