Creating a trusted property platform for emergency services

Blue Light Lets was born out of the successful launch of an exclusive Facebook group, created to allow police, NHS, and fire service workers to advertise their homes to fellow professionals. Building on that success, the platform was developed to provide a more secure and efficient way for members of the Blue Light community to list and rent properties within their trusted network.

Implemented a secure verification system to ensure only verified emergency service professionals could join the platform, immediately building trust among users.

User-first design

Designed a clean, intuitive interface that made listing properties or finding rentals easy and accessible for everyone, even those less familiar with technology.

Community focus

Created a feedback system where members could rate and review their experiences, fostering trust within the community.

Brand identity

The visual identity of Blue Light Lets was designed to reflect trust, reliability, and simplicity. Every element, from the clean layout to the colour palette, was thoughtfully chosen to evoke a sense of community and support.

The meaning behind the shapes

Police – The shield

The shield symbolises protection, safety, and vigilance, representing the protective role of police in safeguarding the community.

NHS – The heart

The heart reflects the care and compassion provided by the NHS, symbolising their dedication to public health and well-being.

Fire – The water droplet

The water droplet signifies the role of firefighters in extinguishing fires, protecting homes, and ensuring safety.

Colour palette

Each colour has been carefully selected to represent trust, calmness, and reliability, creating a cohesive visual language that aligns with the brand’s core values.

Designing the sign-up experience

I crafted a user-friendly and intuitive sign-up process to ensure emergency service professionals could easily create an account and verify their identity. By focusing on simplicity and trust, the sign-up flow guarantees that only verified members can access the platform, creating a safe environment for all users.

Creating an effortless property upload flow

I developed a streamlined, step-by-step property upload experience, making it simple for users to showcase their properties. The UI ensures that adding property details, uploading images, and connecting with verified renters is quick and efficient, allowing users to focus on renting their spaces with confidence.
